It’s that time of the year again, when parents hit the panic button and children get addicted to long hours of television and play station. However, summer holidays can be transformed into a fun filled and stress free holidays for both children and parents with summer activities. The city is offering a host of summer camps and activities providing opportunities to the students to home their creative side.

Here is a list summer camps

1.Summer camp for kids where the children will be given lessons in drawing painting, dance and drama.

2.Landmark in association with Story trails is organizing a two and a half hour storytelling sessions that have a mix of stories, role plays, songs, activities and fun games for kids between the age group of seven to twelve years. The price for the five day work shop is Rs1500 per child. Shop also; Landmark has announced a summer carnival with books, DVDs on special
discount.

3.Summer Funk organized by Shiamak Davar’s institute for the Performing Arts includes the finer nuances of dance, performance, professionalism and stage discipline. Students can learn Shiamak’s Style, hip – hop and Bollywood jazz perform atShiamak’s summer funk show. Shiamak’s Summer Funk 2011 stars on 21nd April 2011 the enrolments started from 15th April 2011 onward.

4.Treasure House is organizing a host of workshops for children of all age groups. Reading storytelling, art and crafts, theatre and filmmaking workshop, photography, handwriting and many more classes are in store for the kids.

5.The Children’s Fine Art Gallery has activies lined up for this summer. Picture book making, clay modeling, animal kingdom in papier – mache, flok art and eco assemblage are the different projects the gallery has designed to conduct. The Art – X – Press workshop will be displayed for an exhibition. Children between the age group of 5 to 18 can participate.

Date: The workshops will being from may 2. The workshop will be conducyed on weekdays from 10 am to 1 pm.
